This model is also available on request in a version certified to EN 1143-1 by ECB·S (European Certification Body for Security), an independent certification body. The grade, configuration and price of this version are specified in a quotation.
EN 1143-1 certification covers the burglary resistance of the selected certified version. It is issued by ECB·S, an independent certification body.
The lock type depends on the version you choose:
- Essentiel version: BioLock® lock — biometric fingerprint sensor, digital keypad, and backup physical key. Three combined access modes, designed for quick everyday access.
- Certified Grade I to V versions: Digilock® lock — digital keypad and backup physical key, certified EN 1300 Grade B PS610, a standard tested by accredited laboratories (including ECB·S). Its resistance to manipulation and picking is independently verified.
The safe is available in an Essentiel version (uncertified) and in Grade I to Grade V (certified to EN 1143-1 by ECB·S), depending on your requirements:

The Essentiel version is not EN 1143-1 certified. Grades I to V are certified by ECB·S (European Certification Body for Security).
The grade determines the level of burglary resistance and the insurable value of the contents. For a collection of 8 to 12 manufacture watches, Grade II or III is generally the relevant entry point.

3 customizable drawers, flannel interior, and integrated lighting
The watch safe isn't limited to the winders. Three customizable drawers complete the space, lined in flannel that protects each piece without marking it, with integrated LED lighting that activates on opening.
- Resting watches: for timepieces not in rotation, placed on a cushion with no contact between pieces
- Jewelry: individual flannel compartments, each piece held and separated
- Accessories: a free, fully modular drawer - spare straps, tools, documents, according to the collector's needs

Daytona - black leather and carbon, a technical finish
Daytona isn't a secondary finish. It's a signature Mercier & Fils treatment pairing a black leather exterior with carbon accents, for a more sporting, technical register than the collection's wood finishes. The interior, lined in flannel, provides the contrast: rigor on the outside, softness for the pieces within.
A choice that owns a contemporary visual presence in a dressing room or office, the opposite of the classic register of wood or lacquer.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Régent™ 12 a real safe or just a secured winder? This safe with integrated winders is also available on request in a version certified to EN 1143-1 by ECB·S, an independent certification body. The structure, bolts, and Digilock® lock (on certified versions) meet the standard's requirements, from Grade I to Grade V depending on the version chosen.
Can I set a different TPD for each watch? Yes. Each winder is independently configurable: rotation direction (clockwise, counterclockwise, bidirectional) and adjustable TPD according to each manufacturer's specifications. Across twelve slots, every watch keeps its own setting.

What's the difference between the EN 1143-1 grades? The Essentiel version (250 kg) is not EN 1143-1 certified - it's physical protection without independent audit. Grade I (373 kg) is the first level certified by ECB·S. Grades II to V (552 to 1019 kg) are for collections whose value justifies stronger protection and higher insurance coverage. What's the difference between the Essentiel lock and the certified lock? The Essentiel version uses a BioLock® lock (biometric fingerprint, digital keypad, backup key), designed for quick everyday access. Grade I to V versions use a Digilock® lock certified EN 1300 Grade B PS610, whose resistance to manipulation and picking is independently verified.
Why a flannel interior instead of velvet? Flannel offers a softer, matte touch, consistent with the technical register of leather and carbon on the outside - a deliberate contrast rather than a variation on the velvet used in the collection's wood finishes.
Are my larger watches compatible? The Régent™ 12 is compatible with all automatic watches, regardless of case size. The cushions accommodate sport models as well as the finest dress watches.
